Awards Ceremony Highlights

The Esports Awards 2021 were held on May 7th, 2021, celebrating and rewarding the biggest and best in the competitive gaming world. The awards show featured a variety of different categories, with many different winners taking home prizes. Here are some of the highlights from the event.

-In the “Esports Athlete of the Year” category, Filipino esports star Mineski won first place. This is Mineski’s second time winning this award, having previously won it in 2019.

-The “Esports Game of the Year” award went to Call of Duty: Mobile, with League of Legends and Valorant coming in second and third place respectively.

-Team Liquid took home the “Esports Team of the Year” award, while G2 Esports came in second place.

-Finally, amidst much controversy, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins won the “Esports Personality of the Year” award. This was Ninja’s fourth time winning this award, having previously taken home the prize in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
